THE Princess Royal and thousands of others attended a service yesterday, celebrating the centenary of Britain’s oldest war memorial which sits in Stroud.

2017 - Cub & Scout Woodhouse Park Camp

In May 2017, forty two Cubs and Scouts spent the weekend at Woodhouse Park Scout Activity Center near Bristol.

Nailsworth Litter Pick (Spring Clean)

Well done to all of the Cubs and Scouts who took part in the Nailsworth Spring Clean. We were sent to King George V field to clean up the litter. As the groundsman had done a litter pick that morning or job was fairly easy however we did fill several bags with litter. A good turn out and an important show of support for the town.

Scouts Against the Wild 2017

Over the weekend of 31st March 2017 six Scouts and young leaders braved a weekend in Dartmoor, wild camping, navigating and hiking around the wilds of Dartmoor.

Winter Camp 2017 at Penn Wood Scout Camp site

Twenty Scouts spent the weekend of 20th January camping at Pennwood Scout camp site. The Friday night was very cold at minus five, the outside of the tents being frozen when we got up on the Saturday morning.

Sainsburys bag packing

Thank you to everybody who turned up and took their turn at bag packing at Sainsbury\'s on Saturday. We are all immensely proud of the way you all conducted yourselves, your behaviour was a credit to Scouting, to yourselves and to your parents/guardians.

The Wildest Cub 100 Birthday Party Ever

2016 is the 100th anniversary of Cub Scouts! To celebrate in style we have booked ten places at the Gloucestershire County Cubs birthday party camp. Why not come and be one of the 800 Cubs taking part during the weekend.

Dr Who & Big Pit - Cubs Day Trip

On Saturday 19th March 2016, The Cubs and a few Scouts visited The Dr Who Experience, housed in a specially constructed facility in Cardiff Bay. The interactive section was very interesting and offered a unique, exciting and sometimes scary journey into fifty years of adventures in space and time. After that there was a display of costumes and villains throughout the different ages. We then drove to the Big Pit National Coal Museum a real coal mine. The Cubs went 90m underground with a real miner and saw what life was like for the thousands of men who worked at the coal face and looked around the other exhibitions on the site.

Longfield Hospice Hike

On Saturday the 12th March The Cubs from Amberley and Nailsworth set off on a 10Km hike across Minchinhampton and Rodborough commons to Baden Powells ring and eventaually on to The Amberley Scout Hut in to raise funds and awareness of the Longfield Trust Hospice.
